About the Inventor
Catherine Tucker
My name is Catherine Tucker and I am a confirmed Foodie, one who goes to great lengths to make and enjoy the art of food. Originally from New England and the daughter of a Fishing boat Captain from New Bedford Mass. Early on I had a great appreciation for great food. As a baby, I teethed on a lobster leg!
After college I went to work for the United States Postal Service for 20 years, then on to building and real estate investments, all the while having a yearning to find my true purpose...in the food arena. As a hostess I became known as a gourmet. When invited to a friends home for a party, I often brought an appetizer which became my signature, my bacon wrapped dates! although they were wonderful on their own, I found the need to find a way to both cook and serve on the same device.
The device became such a hit that party hosts requested that I bring my "hot date tree" in tow at friends homes. Often times I was asked who brought the dates......and were could I get one! I would reply that it was my prototype and as soon as I went into production they would be available. This is when the "hot date tree" was born!
